Briquet, Abel (?-?)
Abel Briquet was a French photographer who emigrated to Mexico. From 1883 to 1911 he produced numerous images, resulting in various photographic series, including: “Vistas Mexicanas”, “Antigüedades Mexicanas”, “Tipos Mexicanos”, “Alrededores de México” and “Rumbos de México”.

- 94 black-and-white photographs (archaeological artefacts from an exhibition in the Museo Nacional de México, today’s Museo Nacional de Antropología) monuments, residential houses in the countryside, people)
Provenance: A large number of the photographs are from Eduard Seler and Teobert Maler’s papers.
