Gaensly, Guilherme (1843-1928)

Guilherme Gaensly was a Brazilian photographer who ran photography studios in Salvador da Bahia and São Paulo. His works were commissioned by the Ministry for Agriculture and a railroad company. Gaensly was particularly well known for his landscape scenes and shots of São Paulo, which won him awards at international photography exhibitions in Paris (1889) and Saint Luis (1904).
