Ernst, Adolf (1832-1899)
Adolf Ernst was a German botanist and zoologist. Ernst moved to Caracas (Venezuela) in 1861, where he researched the country’s flora and fauna. He was co-founder of the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales and the library of the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas.
