Ernst Wilhelm Förstemann was a German philologist and linguist from Germany. He was director of the Royal Public Library in Dresden (today’s Saxon State and University Library Dresden) and published the standard reference work “Altdeutsches Namenbuch” (Nordhausen: 1854-1859).
