Three gables




Oenike, Karl (1862-1924)

Karl Oenike was a German landscape painter who travelled through Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil from 1887 to 1891. On one of his trips in 1887, he accompanied German geologist and geographer Ludwig Brackebusch through Argentina. On these expeditions Oenike also produced drawings and took photographs.

  • 1 typed manuscript (“Neues über die Expedition Brackebusch in Südamerika nach den Tagebüchern seines Begleiters Karl Oenike”, place and year unspecified, 37 sheets; notes on an expedition to Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil from 1888)
