Panhorst, Karl H. (1899-1986)
Karl H. Panhorst was a German historian. From 1929 to 1938 he was assistant director and then secretary general of the Ibero-American Institute (IAI) of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation in Berlin. Panhorst went on to become head of a division (Ministerialrat) at the Federal Foreign Office. He took a number of trips to Mexico, Central America and the Andean states.
