Liebenthal donation (partial collection of Karl Oenike’s papers)
Karl Oenike was a German landscape painter who travelled through Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil from 1887 to 1891. On one of his trips in 1887 he accompanied the German geologist and geographer Ludwig Brackebusch through Argentina. On these expeditions Oenike produced drawings and took photographs.
