Johannes Göldi was a teacher from Switzerland. He travelled through Brazil from 1884 to 1896. Johannes Göldi was the father of zoologist Emil Göldi, who was appointed museum director of the Museo Paraense in Belem in 1894 (today’s Museu Parense Emílio Göldi).
