Rauhut, Franz (1898-1988)
Franz Rauhut was a German scholar of romance languages and literature, specializing in French and Italian literature. Rauhut studied under Karl Vossler, among other professors. He held a chair in Romance languages and literature at Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg from 1948 to 1967. From the 1950s he was active in the German peace movement.
