Three gables

Poster collection

The collection contains 5.800 posters, featuring a range of topics – from bull fights in Spain and elections in Nicaragua, to health campaigns in Brazil.

Health posters from Brazil

The collection of 50 posters dates from 1930 to 1940 during the presidency of Getúlio Dornelles Vargas (1882-1954). The posters aimed to alert people to the dangers of infectious diseases, promote a healthy diet and dental hygiene, and raise awareness of the importance of breast milk.
